My American dream!
My American dream would be to have my own family, my own house and a car. I would also love to have a good paying career. I want to be a successful mother and wife, I want to be able to support my family and give them everything they deserve. My American dream would be to live a happy life with the ones I love and to never have to worry about bills or if I’m going to be able to put food on my children’s plates.
Like in the article “Generation Screwed” they talk about how people quit school because even with college degrees people were still getting lousy jobs and that’s something I want to change, I think that with a college degree and more id be able to get myself a way better paying job then someone with no degree or high school diploma. I also think that just because you have a family it doesn’t mean you need to give up your career, the same with having a career that shouldn’t mean giving up on family or the idea of forming one. I personally no id be able to do both.
In the article “iCrazy” I agree with what they are saying because people are definitely losing sight on what is real because of the internet. How it says in the article that one young couple neglected their infant to death because they were taking care of a virtual baby online, when I read that I was surprised of how the internet could kill a baby or be the cause, and how a young man fatally killed his mother because she suggested he logged off. I find it incredible how a computer could affect people.
I personally do not think that neither the internet nor other people’s personal experience could affect or are anything similar to how my life is going to be because I know my limits and what I’m capable of. When it comes to spending too much time on the internet I know when enough is enough. Also how all the people interviews in “Generation Screwed” said that having a degree didn’t help with good jobs, to me that sounds like a lot of bolony, because if you work hard in school it definitely will pay off in the future maybe you just aren’t looking in the right place. I believe if I work hard for what I want I know I will be able to achieve my goal and get everything I want.
An American dream for me is r4eaching for my goals, even if it takes me forever to actually achieve them I know that just the fact that I’m not giving up is on my way to achieving my goal. I know that not giving up is part of the experience to achieve my goal. My goals have always been to have a family and a good job and no matter how many times I have failed I know that I will still manage to get back on track and accomplish what I need to accomplish. Why? Well because I believe in myself.
